ABOUT

Well…instead of some super boring bio on me with all the stuff you really DONT want to know, how about I share with you some more fun things about me?  Here are 10 to start with!

ONE:  My name is Crystal….though a lot of people seem to like my name, I didn’t as a kid.  When I was younger, I said I wanted my name to be Sunshine.  I liked that.

TWO: I wouldn’t want to do anything else in the world but be a graphic artist….ok, if I could be a super awesome folk singer, I’d probably go that route….but let’s be realisitic here.

THREE: I live in Greater Cleveland, but grew up in a super small town that most people have never heard of.  My first experience moving to Cleveland was interesting, I lived in a industrial life/work loft space off E.40th, across the street was a laundromat that the homeless tended to stay at a lot.  It was a culture shock, but it was a good one, I never was one to want to live in the country, I love the hustle and bustle of city life.

FOUR: I love the color teal.  Or rather, I love all colors, depends on my mood that day to tell you what color is my favorite.  Sometimes it’s brown, black, burgundy or lime green.  Other times it’s tangerine, yellow or purple.

FIVE: If I could I would be the old lady in a shoe…You know, the one with all the kids?  I’m a big kid at heart, and when we learned we probably wouldn’t be able to have children ourselves, we looked into foster care/adoption.  We currently have one foster son, who we adore.  If we had a huge house, I’m sure we would take in 100′s of kids.

SIX: I love crafty stuff.  Anything that involves pipe cleaners, pom poms, glitter, glue, sequins, burlap, fabric, paint, etc.  I’m all for it.  I don’t mind my fingers being glued together at the end of the night, or that one of my hands are accidentely glued to my head.

SEVEN: I’m a kind of fly by the seat of my pants type of person, I like some stability of knowing what’s going on, but I prefer the spontaneous nature of unorganized chaos more.

EIGHT: I love music, especially folksy type, music like Edward Sharpe, Fleet Foxes or Ingrid Michaelson, but also like Rock, Hip Hop, Pop,  Dance, and yes, even some (minor…..and I mean Oh so minor, I can count it on my hands) Country.

NINE: I like cinnamon more then chocolate.

TEN: I love to sing, however others might disagree with it!  I’m all for karaoke, or a mean game of American Idol on the Wii….Simon always seems to love me!

I’m loving the journey so far my life has given me, and can’t wait to see what’s in store in the years to come. I’m just your typical vintage loving, goofy, loves to dress up in costume, mismatch-y, chai addicted, blog-stalking, optimistic, creative, cheesy, god-fearing, down-home Ohio girl with a CRAZY creative itch.  If you like that, we’ll be great friends!
